Urcel has a strong culture of safety and environmental protection. We are convinced that great health, safety and environmental performance and a successful business go hand in hand.
It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that our equipment arrives home, every day, safely and that we maintain the environment-commercialization balance.
At Urcel, we take all reasonable steps to identify hazards that could create reasonably foreseeable risks to health, safety and the environment.
At the safety level, the necessary resources are allocated to ensure that best practices are applied in all our operations and those of contracted third parties, whether for forest harvesting, storage or port operations.
We continuously review our procedures and seek improvements to make our work safer. For this purpose, we have permanently assigned to our staff an Occupational Preventionist.

On an environmental level, we are aware that forests are a source of livelihood for millions of people, store carbon, purify drinking water and provide habitat for wildlife. They also allow us to produce products that people depend on every day. At URCEL our entire business depends on the sustainability of forests.
Every day, we take steps to ensure that our wood sourcing policies and practices support our commitment to protect forests, their watersheds and biodiversity. We source logs from responsibly managed forests in order to protect them for current and future generations.
